WGN: Rescue workers in eastern Missouri say a higher power lent a helping hand at an accident scene Sunday. First responders worked for 45 minutes to get a girl out of a crushed car. But their cutting equipment was no match for this older model Mercedes. Suddenly, a catholic priest appeared at the scene and offered to pray with rescuers and the girl. He told everyone to remain calm and that their equipment would now work. Moments later another rescue team showed up with newer equipment and got the girl out. When the family and rescuers went to thank him, the priest was nowhere to be found.
