Brooklyn Bank Bans Hoodies

PIX 11: BROOKLYN (PIX11) — One area bank is enforcing a dress code for its employees and customers, but many are not too pleased about it. The Cross County Federal Savings Bank, which has seven branches throughout Brooklyn, the Bronx and Queens, wants customers to remove their hats, hoodies and sunglasses before entering any facility. While the bank says this new policy is just a security measure, others think it bizarre. “I think it’s crap,” Brooklyn resident Michael Brown told PIX11 News. “It doesn’t make any sense. Signs plastered in all branches notify customers of the policy stating, “For the safety and security of all customers and employees, we kindly ask that you REMOVE hats, hoods, headgear and sunglasses prior to entering our facility.” One area bank is enforcing a new dress code for its employees and customers, but many are not too pleased about it. An assistant manager who did not want to be identified at the Cross County Williamsburg branch told PIX11 News that many customers typically comply with the policy. According to a report in the New York Daily News, the bank has been robbed seven times in five years at their Queens locations. A phone call put out to a Cross County Savings Bank rep wasn’t immediately returned.
