One Week Later, Obama Address Softens Syria War Drums

Barack Obama follows up last Saturday’s presidential address, which pushed Congress to authorize military strikes against Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, with a softer tone stressing a diplomatic resolution. However, Obama does credit his talk tough for Russia taking the lead in nonviolent negotiations.
