GOP Blinks: Proposes Temporary Raise In Debt Ceiling, Conference

Top Republican House leaders held a short conference on Thursday demanding the President come to the negotiating table. Republican leadership proposed a temporary raise to the debt ceiling as well as a mandatory conference in the hopes the President will negotiate. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor addressed the shutdown but only by pressing for negotiations. “We cannot waste anymore time,” Cantor said.
