Marco Rubio: 'At This Time Next Year I Will Have to Make a Decision'

In an appearance on CNBC World’s “Capital Connection” from Tokyo on Tuesday, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) gave a wide-ranging interview about embattled Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), the economy and his 2016 presidential prospects.

Partial transcript as follows:

RUBIO: At this time next year I’ll have to make a decision about something like that, and that time will come, and there will be all sorts of things. My most important job is the job of father and husband, so that’ll be the first thing to think about. Second is whether or not I feel like there is another office in which I can further this agenda that I’ve outlined, or whether there is work that remains to be done in the Senate, or whether my time has come to return to the private sector. All of those are valid choices and I’ll explore them at the appropriate time. I’ve always believed and continue to believe that if you do a good job at the job you have now, you’ll have opportunities, including many things you perhaps had not anticipated in the past. So, I’m going to focus on that, I know that happens to be the standard line that politicians give, but I also happen to believe that it’s the truth.
