KTVU and Wires SAN LEANDRO, Calif. — A criminal had the tables turned on him when a brave clerk took away his gun and chased him out of a convenience store he was trying to rob Friday night. A man wearing a ski mask and armed with a handgun entered the 7-Eleven store at 333 E. 14th St. in San Leandro around 11:55 p.m. and tried to rob the two employees working at the time, according to police
