DHS Head Concerned Al Qaeda-Trained Syrian Islamic Extremists Have Been in the US

On ABC’s “This Week” during Pierre Thomas’ interview with the Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said, “Syria has become a matter of homeland security” because foreign fighters in Syria have trained with hardened al Qaeda terrorists and are traveling to Europe and the United States.

When Thomas asked Johnson is there was any concern that some of them have been in the United States, Johnson said, “We are concerned, yes”…
