The House Armed Services Committee has attempted to ban cigarettes and beer from being sold on military basses. But Wednesday night Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), who joined the Marine Corps after 9/11 gave an emotional speech in support of his amendment, which passed, to halt the attempt.
