Hagel: Prisoner Swap Could Lead to More Talks with Taliban

On Sunday’s “Meet the Press” on NBC, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel spoke from a U.S. military base in Afghanistan and elaborated the administration’s to agree on a deal of a five-for-one prisoner swap for U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

Bergdahl had been held captive by the Taliban since 2009. Hagel speculated this might lead the United States to a better relationship with the Taliban.
