CNN Analysts Attack Ted Cruz as 'Skunk' and 'Show Horse'

On Monday, CNN commentators legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, Republican adviser Ana Navarro and former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile debated if Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is capable of being the 2016 Republican presidential nominee.

Toobin said after spending time with Cruz he found he was “very intelligent” and a “true believer” who has “not changed his views since he was a teenager” and would be the most conservative potential candidate in the 2016 race.

Navarro wished Cruz would stop being “the skunk” of the Republican Party who goes after fellow conservatives rather than the Democrats.

Brazile said, “Ted Cruz is a show horse, not a work horse.”
