On Wednesday in an afternoon matinee match-up against the San Diego Padres, San Francisco starting pitcher Tim Lincecum completed his second career no-hitter in a 4-0 win.
Following the no-hit bid, Lincecum told Comcast SportsNet Bay Area’s Amy Gutierrez about the experience.
“I am just relieved right now,” Lincecum said. “[I] am not saying that I needed to do that my by self, but to be part of something like that is fun. I don’t know I was not thinking about it out there, so at the very end, it caught me by surprise. And what do you know, you got a no-hitter, so.”
