Russia's Foreign Minister Accuses America of Fueling Ukraine Crisis

Saturday speaking on Russian television Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused America of being the main obstacle to settling the conflict in Ukraine saying, “Our American colleagues still prefer to push the Ukrainian leadership toward a confrontational path.”

The foreign minister’s accusations come after Ukraine singed a free-trade deal with the European Union on Friday. Last November when former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych buckled under pressure from Moscow and refused to sign the trade deal with the EU the protests began that eventually ousted him.
