Gohmert Cochran's Tactics an 'Outrage,' 'Conspiring to Violate the Law'

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) blasted the tactics used by supporters of Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) to win his primary against Chris McDaniel last week, calling them an “outrage,” and declaring Cochran a beneficiary of “illegality.”

Gohmert rebutted those who argued the Tea Party lost, stating, “No, they didn’t, they won, if it weren’t for the thousands that they come out illegally and vote in that election, then Thad Cochran loses.”

He said that the robocalls made to Democratic voters asking them to vote against McDaniel were “asking people to come out and break the law,” and the Cochran campaign benefited from other individuals “conspiring to violate the law,” and “illegality.”
