Monday on MSNBC’s “Ronan Farrow Daily,” Terry O’Neill, the president of the National Organization for Women (NOW), reacted to the Supreme Court’s Hobby Lobby 5-4 ruling against forcing privately held companies to offer their employees birth control by claiming the “men of the Supreme Court” have used religious freedom as an excuse to legalize “plain out gender bigotry” like “Apartheid in South Africa.”

O’Neill later added a rallying cry, saying, “I think the message here is that the response has to be political. We have a politicized Supreme Court. We will meet them on the political grounds. We will defeat them. We need to reverse the 30-year campaign by the right wing to take over the federal courts and that’s my organization’s job and we’ll be working with our allies and I think we’ll succeed.”
