Obama Calls on GOP's 'Economic Patriotism' to Pass His Agenda

On Thursday, President Barack Obama stopped by 1776, a tech start-up hub in Washington, D.C., to talk about his “Starting America” initiative. During that visit he called on Republican’s to use their “economic patriotism” and work with him.

Touting today’s job numbers, Obama said, “We could make even more progress if Congress was willing to work with my administration and set politics aside, at least occasionally, which I know is what the American people are urgently looking for,” adding its a sort of “economic patriotism.”
