Wednesday on CNN’s “Outfront,” former Clinton strategist Paul Begala said President Barack Obama was “wrong” for not personally touring the facilities currently housing the thousands of unaccompanied minors who illegally flooded over the U.S.-Mexico border.
“Here’s where the president is wrong, he said it’s just political theater to go, that is not right,” Begala said. “I had the responsibility to go with the president I served, President Clinton, to many places — for example a tornado struck Alabama. I remember, it was a tragic day, but you go. The president wasn’t going to rebuild the homes there, but you go because first off you show that you care.”
