Politico Senior Reporter Maggie Haberman said that as far as she knows, Hillary Clinton “has not taken a single question” from reporters on her book tour. At a panel discussion on the 2014 and 2016 elections hosted by Politico, she reported “[Hillary] has not taken a single question, that I know of at least from the events I’ve been to and the one’s I’ve read about, from reporters who were attending.”
“She is giving very controlled interviews, these are very controlled settings. There is very little that is sort of up in the air and unexpected about them,” Haberman added. She also declared that Clinton’s extensive security detail “does not create the feeling of being able to reach out and connect.”
