Nikki Haley Ad: We Started Asking Welfare Users What Kind of Work They Could Do

In her latest ad to promote her re-election bid, Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) touts her efforts to steer welfare recipients toward work.

“I fundamentally believe that people want paychecks, not welfare checks,” Haley said. So we started asking people on public assistance what kind of work they could do and we matched them up with businesses.”
