Former CIA Chief: No One Focused on Al Qaeda Taking Libya

Wednesday on “CBS This Morning,” former CIA director Mike Morell warned not enough attention is focused on events in Libya because the ISIS takeover in Iraq is being replicated by al Qaeda groups in Libya.

Morell said, “What’s happening in Libya is very similar to what’s happened in Iraq. The extremist there, the al Qaeda affiliated groups there are making a move to take over the country. They took Tripoli this weekend. A lot of people aren’t focused on whats happening in Libya becuse whats happening in Iraq is dominating but we need to focus on Lybia as well.”
