Kerry Winks, Laughs at McCain After ISIS Debate

Wednesday at the Senate Foreign Relation Committee hearing on U.S. strategy for combating ISIS, after a clearly frustrated Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) grilled Secretary of State John Kerry on the administrations strategy against ISIS, Kerry oddly winked and made a glib comment about their long standing tradition of “enjoyable” debates.

After intense questioning on the administration’s ever-changing position on arming and training the Free Syrian Army, an angry McCain said, “That sounds like we can’t take on two adversaries at once, it sounds bogus and false.”

The gavel sounded as the Secretary of State winked and said, “We have a great tradition, I believe in John’s adage that a fight not joined is a fight not enjoyed. We always have a great time.”
