Ronald Kessler: Breaches Show Secret Service Management 'Arrogant'

Ronald Kessler, the author of “The First Family Detail: Secret Service Agents Reveal the Hidden Lives of the President,” who also broke the story about the Secret Service prostitution scandal in Colombia, said that the recent breaches of security at the White House, “shows you how arrogant the Secret Service is” on Monday’s broadcast of “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on the Fox News Channel.

Kessler stated that the Secret Service’s claim that they were using “restraint” in an incident where fence-jumper Omar Gonzalez was able to get into the White House, shows that “they think we’re fools,” and  “obviously the uniformed officers were not paying attention.”

“The larger problem is the Secret Service has a management which condones laxness, which condones corner-cutting, has a culture that covers-up deficiencies, that punishes agents who report problems,” he added.

He also argued that President Barack Obama has been too eager to defend the actions of the Secret Service and should be more willing to impose consequences on management for lax security at the White House.
