Immigration Expert: US Ebola Patient 'Profoundly Unqualified' for a Visa

Jessica Vaughan, the Director of Policy Studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, argued that US Ebola patient Thomas Duncan never should have received a visa on Friday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.”

Vaughan argued that Duncan was “profoundly unqualified to get a visa,” because “he is single, he was very marginally employed, lightly educated,” and “has visa overstay written all over him.” She added “it is very concerning to see this guy was able to talk someone into giving him a visa in the first place”

She also reported that “despite the fact that Liberia has one of the highest overstay rates of any country in the entire world, the State Department has been increasing the number of visas every year that it issues to Liberians, even though they have such a high rate of abusing those visas and contributing to illegal immigration here.”
