Levin: Panetta's Loyalty Isn't to Obama, It's to the People

Talk radio host and author of “The Liberty Amendments,” Mark Levin, argued that Leon Panetta should not be criticized for his “disloyalty” to President Barack Obama, but rather, praised for his loyalty to the American people on Tuesday.

Levin argued that “a cabinet secretary has a duty and a loyalty to the country … your first obligation is to the country.” And, therefore, “if you believe the president of the United States is conducting himself in a way that is harmful to our national security, then why shouldn’t a Cabinet secretary speak out?  And if he doesn’t speak out while he’s in the cabinet, which I think he or she should, then why is it so awful if they speak out afterwards if the president is still in office and still screwing things up?”

He added, “I’m glad Panetta has come out and exposed Obama further,” and that more officials should speak out to shed light on the truth that the media refuses to investigate and report on.
