Mitt Romney: 'I'm Not Running, Not Planning on Running'

Former Massachusetts Governor and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said he was “unavailable” to run for president in 2016 and was “not running, not planning on running” in 2016 on Friday’s “Laura Ingraham Show.”

When asked about the possibility of him running for president in 2016, he said “sometimes the unavailable is the most attractive, I happen to have thought that the best way that we can get back the White House is perhaps giving someone else a chance and that’s why I’m not running, not planning on running.”

Romney added, “I’ve had conversations with a number of the people who are thinking of running for president in 2016. And I won’t give you name by name who we spent the most time with, but I’ve spoken with quite a few of the folks that are looking at the race and offered my perspectives and advice.”

He predicted, “I think there are a lot of folks looking at the race, I wouldn’t be surprised to see 10 or 12 people on the stage in those first debates.”
