On this weekend’s “Fox News Sunday,” political commentator Brit Hume warned the Republicans of recent history and said any government shutdown would be blamed on them not the president just like the last time.
Discussing a shutdown strategy to stop Obama’s executive amnesty Hume said, “It’s a total blunder to try that, because if the president were to veto the bill, A bill that would keep the government going and there was a shut down, it wouldn’t matter. It never has, what the proximate cause. it’s an iron rule, if the government is shut down, the republicans get the blame, not most, not some, but all of the blame. some have surmised who still think that that kind of bringsmanship might work. I doubt it.”
