On Monday’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, co-host Mika Brzezinski spoke out on remarks made by Georgetown University professor Michael Eric Dyson, accusing him of “white supremacy” in pointing out black-on-black crime statistics.
“In places like this and on ‘Meet the Press,’ there should be room for a conversation to happen,” Brzezinski said. “As Wes pointed out, Mayor Giuliani made a point that was legitimate. It may not be the most popular one, it may not be the one you want to go on for an hour about. But there are different facets to the story that are of concern. We can’t be seizing upon each other and calling them white supremacists or everything else and lowering the conversation immediately. It can’t happen.”
