Thursday at his weekly press conference, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) addressed both the controversies surrounding the deaths at the hand of law enforcement officers of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.
Boehner said, “Clearly both of these are serious tragedies we have seen in our society. I think the American people want to understand more of what the facts were. There are a lot of unanswered questions the American people have, and frankly I have.”
While saying he will not rule in or out congressional hearings, Boehner added, “The American people deserve more answers about what really happened here, and was our system of justice really handled properly.”
