Report: Dem Reps Protecting Black Panther Cop Killer

After President Barack Obama’s announcement this week that he aims to make relations with Cuba somewhat normalized, authorities in New Jersey said they hope that will mean the eventual extradition of Black Panther Assata Shakur, convicted for the murder of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in 1977.  Shakur escaped and has been living in Cuba since 1984.

Attorney Martin Garbus told “Democracy Now’s” Amy Goodman that he met with five members of Congress including Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA)  who guaranteed him hey would fight any attempts to have Assata Shakur returned.
