Obama Lectures Americans on What Kind of Car to Buy

Thursday as President Barack Obama was delivering remarks on the housing market at an event in Phoenix, he advised Americans on the kind of car they should buy with all the money they have because of lower gas prices.

Obama said, “By the way, you’re saving about a buck ten a gallon at the pump over this time last year. Although I was in Detroit and I told folks yesterday gas prices aren’t  going to be low forever, so don’t start suddenly saying you don’t have to worry about  fuel efficiency.  If you’re going out shopping for a new car, don’t think it’s always going to be this low cause then you’ll be surprised and you’ll be mad at me later. And I’ll be able to say ‘I told you don’t get a gas-guzzler’ because gas is going to go back up.”
