Tuesday on Fox News Radio’s “John Gibson Show,” while discussing the news that a Texas federal judge has blocked President Barack Obama’s executive order on immigration until the case can be argued, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said it was a “significant victory for the rule of law” in the “battle to stop President Obama’s lawless amnesty.”
Cruz said, “Last night’s decision was a major turning point in the battle to stop President Obama’s lawless amnesty. Last night, the federal court concluded that the executive amnesty that President Obama attempted to implement in the end of last year was illegal.”
He added, “This is a significant victory for the rule of law. The president is bound by federal law just like everybody else.”
