Obama: All My E-Mails ‘Available and Archived,’ Heard About Hillary’s In News

President Obama said he first heard about Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail use through the news media and that all his e-mails are “available and archived” in an interview broadcast on Saturday’s “CBS Evening News.”

When asked when he first learned of the scandal, President Obama responded, “the same time everybody else learned it, through news reports.”

He continued, “let me just say that Hillary Clinton is and has been an outstanding public servant. She was a great Secretary of State for me. The policy of my administration is to encourage transparency, and that’s why my e-mails, the Blackberry they carry around, all those records are available and archived. And I’m glad that Hillary’s instructed that those e-mails, that had to do with official business need to be disclosed.”
