During Tuesday’s “First Take” on ESPN2, co-host Skip Bayless reacted to the report of the Philadelphia Eagles holding a private workout for former Denver Broncos and New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow.

Bayless believes, due to Tebow’s success as a starter in 2011, he could have some success as a quarterback in Chip Kelly’s offense.

“Do I think in Chip Kelly’s offense that Tim Tebow could have some success? Sure, I do. You know what I thought about Tim before that draft. If you took him late in the first round, you put him in his college style offense, I think he could win some games. That’s all I said. And I stand by that.”

“And Tim Tebow, as a quarterback, as a thrower of the football, in the last five minutes of those games in which he went 7-4, had the number one QBR in all of football over the last five minutes. Dare I bring up the fact that in a home playoff game in the first series of overtime against your Pittsburgh Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger, of all people, Tim Tebow threw a pretty accurate pass to Demaryius Thomas, and he went, what was it, 80 yards for the touchdown that won the game? That’s on his resume. 8-5. So I would say that as a starting quarterback, Tim Tebow was pretty good that year. He showed you. He did it in the National Football League.”
