ABC’s Karl: Clinton’s ‘Popularity Has Taken a Beating’ Over Email Scandal

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” chief White House correspondent Jon Karl highlighted the fallout from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email scandal as the greatest hurtle on her path to wining the presidency.

Karl said,”Her popularity has taken a beating since then. If you look back when she left office as secretary of state — 67 percent favorability, now it’s below 50 percent. The biggest factor driving her popularity down is the issue of honesty and trust worthiness. Right now, about as many people say she’s not honest as those who say she is. clearly, Benghazi and the e-mail scandal have taken a toll.”
