Fox Sports’ Nolan Decries Nike’s De-Americanization of US Women Soccer Uniforms

On Sunday’s “Garbage Time with Katie Nolan” on Fox Sports 1, host Katie Nolan reacted to Nike’s reveal of the US Women’s National Soccer Team’s soccer uniforms, known as kits in the soccer world, which are white and black with neon yellow socks and light blue cleats. Nike claims that the blue on the cleats pays homage to Canada, which is hosting the Women’s World Cup for soccer this year.

Nolan pointed out that the United States’ national team paying homage to another national team is a Canadian thing to do.

“According to Nike, that blue does represent the country. The country of Canada. Holy s—, we are honoring a different nation with our national uniform! That’s so nice of us! That’s actually such a Canadian thing to do that we have out-Canada’d Canada and have now been named host nation of The World Cup, congratulations.”
