On Wednesday’s Sirius XM Radio on Mad Dog Sports Radio, boxer Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach spoke with show host and ESPN regular Stephen A. Smith about the upcoming fight on May 2 between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Roach, who already tried to bait Mayweather’s camp during their press conference by calling for a Pacquiao victory, made a much bolder prediction by saying Pacquiao would win by knockout in the ninth round.
“You’re gonna love him [Pacquiao] after this one, because he’s gonna knock your guy out. His first loss will be devastating. He’ll never fight again.”
Responding to Smith’s question of which round Pacquiao will knock Mayweather out, Roach simply stated, “nine.”
