ESPN’s ‘First Take’: Mayweather Willing to Face Pacquaio in Rematch

During Tuesday’s “First Take” on ESPN2, co-host Skip Bayless released a message received by fellow co-host and Floyd Mayweather fan Stephen A. Smith in response to their previous segment discussing Manny Pacquiao’s shoulder injury, which the Pacquiao camp says happened a few weeks before the May 2 fight with Mayweather. Pacquiao is set to undergo surgery on a significant tear in rotator cuff later this week.

According to the text, Mayweather is willing to box Pacquiao again in a rematch once he is healed.

“My friend, Stephen A. Smith, just got a text from his man, Floyd Mayweather Jr., who said he would gladly fight Manny Pacquiao a year from now or maybe even a September from now like a year from September, but at least a year from now when Manny Pacquiao recovers fully from his rotator cuff surgery.”
