Bayless Calls for 4-Game Suspension for Brady, 8-Game for Belichick

On Thursday’s airing of “First Take” on ESPN2, co-host Skip Bayless called for the suspensions of both Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick in lieu of the report that the Patriots “more probable than not” intentionally deflated footballs for games.

Bayless explained that Brady is deserving of a four-game suspension, while Belichick should be suspended eight games because of his previous history with Spygate, which is when the Patriots were disciplined by the NFL for videotaping New York Jets’ defensive coaches’ signals during a game in 2007.

“I’m afraid Tom Brady is guilty here and I’m afraid he is going to have to be suspended for the integrity of the game we all love. I think Bill Belichick is going to have to be suspended. I’m calling Brady to be gone for four games and Belichick for eight games because he oversaw this process whether he admits to it or not.”
