Senator Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) stated that President Obama’s criticisms of Senator Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)’s (D-MA) trade position were “disrespectful” and “perhaps” sexist on Tuesday.
Brown said, “I think the president was disrespectful to her, by the way he did that.” And “I think the president has made this more personal than he needed to.”
NBC News also reported that Brown stated, “I think by just calling her ‘another politician,’ I’m not going to get into more details,” and “I think referring to her as her first name when he might not have done that for a male senator, perhaps. I’ve said enough.”
