Just two days after the Justice Department arrested a number of FIFA officials on various charges, FIFA held its presidential election in Zurich on Friday.
Bob Ley, host of ESPN’s “Outside the Lines,” showed the FIFA agenda to the viewers at home, pointing out exactly where they got away from their own schedule to go back to another issue instead of moving on with the election and then finally, fed up with it all, ripped up the agenda on air.
“I’m not frustrated, I just want to make the point,” he said. “For those who say it’s base canard and unfair that FIFA makes it up as they go along, they’re on agenda number 11 and they were supposed to be on agenda number 17 so they’re bouncing around, makes you wonder what’s going on.”
