ESPN’s Ley: Who Wants to Be the One to Take Away Arab World’s First World Cup?

ESPN’s Bob Ley, who became fed up with FIFA on air last week, spoke as a guest on ESPN Radio show “Mike and Mike” about the FIFA scandal investigation,. He questioned which world power would want to be responsible for removing the 2022 World Cup from Qatar, surmising that it would not go over well in the Middle East.

“2022 is a very dicey thing here. Who wants to be the world power, as well intentioned as it is, that takes the Arab world’s first World Cup away from them, as bizarre a selection and tainted a selection this Cup ever was?”
