In a video message posted to YouTube on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif expressed optimism that the United States and Iran would reach a deal on the rogue nation’s nuclear program, as talks have been extended until July 7.
“At this 11th hour, despite some differences that remain, we have never been closer to a lasting outcome,” Zarif said. “But there is no guarantee.”
Also in the video statement, Zarif mentioned the threat of ISIS in Iraq and that it needed to be addressed.
“The menace we’re facing, and I say ‘we,’ because no one is spared – is embodied by the hooded men who are ravaging the cradle of civilization,” he said. “To deal with this new challenge new approaches are badly needed.”
