Christie: Rand Should Be ‘In Front of Congress’ If There’s Another Attack

New Jersey Governor and Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie said that Rand Paul “should be in front of hearings, in front of Congress” if there’s another terrorist attack and that letting US allies fight ISIS with US support and training is “a much better way to go about this than to send American troops back over there” on Monday’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC.

Christie was asked how he would defeat ISIS, he answered, “Arm our allies, train them, and it’s their fight. Let them fight it over there with our support, our help, our arms, and our training. If we do that, I think that’s a much better way to go about this than to send American troops back over there.”

Christie added, “In townhall meetings, people are really worried about ISIS, they’re really worried about the threat of terrorism. And that’s why what Rand Paul has done to make this country weaker and more vulnerable is a terrible thing. And for him to raise money off of it is disgraceful, it’s disgraceful. And as the only guy who has used the Patriot Act, in this race, as a former prosecutor, what he’s done is — we’re going to look back on this. Listen this morning. we’re going to look back on this, and he should be in front of hearings, in front of Congress, if there’s another attack, not the director of the FBI or the director of the CIA.”
