On Friday’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, former Bush and McCain adviser Nicolle Wallace, now a co-host for ABC’s “The View,” dismissed the suggestion that some of the 2016 Republican presidential candidates were fearful of fellow opponent Donald Trump.
Wallace pointed to former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) and his willingness to punch back at Trump when attacked and explained that in one way, Trump is an asset to the GOP.
“[I] think Trump is a gift because Trump is everything the modern Republican Party isn’t and can’t be,” Wallace said.
The “Morning Joe” panel went on to debate Trump’s motivations for being in the race and if those motivations were enough to propel him as a serious candidate.
