Walker: ‘Hat Tip’ To Major Garrett For Asking Obama About Americans Held In Iran

Wisconsin Governor and Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker praised CBS’ Major Garrett for asking President Obama about Americans held captive in Iran on Wednesday’s “Hugh Hewitt Show.”

Walker said of Garrett, “Hat tip for him giving that kind of question to the president. And just as one other aside, I met the family of , the Marine who served his country and then went back to see some distant relatives and is being held there. … It would be nice to actually hear, not tied into these negotiations, but to have the president of the United States actually mention this American’s name, someone who served his country in the United States Marine Corps, it would be nice to have a president actually talk about his cause. He mentioned others. He mentioned one in the reporting corps, he talked about one in the ministry. Here is someone who served the United States in the Marine Corps and this is one of those cases.”
