Trump: I Don’t Just Get Military Advice From TV, I Would Have a Policy Team In White House

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump clarified his remarks that he gets military advice from watching television in an interview broadcast on CNN on Wednesday.

After interviewer Chris Cuomo stated, that Trump, “you get a lot of your military analysis from watching television.” Trump responded, “See, I didn’t exactly say that.” He explained that he watches interviews with military experts on other shows and that he reads news sources such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and TIME Magazine. Alone with magazines and “lots of other newspapers.”

Trump did say, “Sure, I need a team.” But that by the time he become president, the foreign affairs landscape will have changed and has “met with numerous people.” He also stated that if he became president he would have a team of policy advisers, and by watching TV and reading news sources, he knows the people who he might like to speak to.
