CNBC’s Kudlow Threatens US Senate Run if Blumenthal Supports Iran Deal

On his Saturday WABC radio show “The Larry Kudlow Show,” CNBC’s Larry Kudlow told Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) on Saturday that if Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) votes with President Barack Obama on the Iran Nuclear Deal that he would run against him.

“If Sen. Richard Blumenthal votes with Obama on Iran, I’m going to run against him,” he said. “I’m not a political guy. I’m an economist, I’m a broadcaster by profession, but I’m so angry at this issue, among others. Blumenthal’s a big taxer to begin with, he along with Dan Milloy have destroyed the state of Connecticut’s economy because of their tax spending, but this Iranian thing is more important. We’re talking about world security, national security. They’re coming to get us and Iran will finance them.”

Roskam then gave Kudlow his support and responded, “Larry, if you’re in, I’m in for you.”
