On Wednesday’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, host Joe Scarborough reacted to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s apology for using a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State on ABC’s “World News” a day earlier.
According to Scarborough, the apology from Clinton left much to be desired.
“[J]ust listen to how flat her voice is at the end,” Scarborough said. “Seriously, this was a hostage video … It’s almost as if she purposefully said it as quickly and as flatly and as — unwillingly as humanly possible.”
Later in the segment, co-host Mika Brzezinski described the apology as “freakish.”
“Well, I’m just going to say, I think she can do 10 times better than this. I really do. I’ve seen it, I know it. And I know it’s in her. And I want it to work for her, which is frustrating. But there’s a couple of things that they cannot get around and that is being overly controlling to the point of being freakish.”
