On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “On the Record,” Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson said “I think I did slip” when he questioned fellow GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s faith.
Carson was asked, [relevant exchange begins around 5:10] “Did you slip by taking the bait on Wednesday, or did you intend to, because you discussed that — I mean, you talked about whether or not you thought he had faith?”
He answered, “No, I think I did slip, and that’s why I apologized. I really should not have taken that bait. You know, there’s no reason ever to question anybody’s faith. That’s something between them and God. And, you know, you just don’t want to get into that at all.”
