Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” the discussion turned to a web ad Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump ran against his rival Jeb Bush suggesting Bush is currently smoking marijuana. Bush has admitted to smoking marijuana while in high school.
The National Journal’s Ron Fournier said, “It’s middle school … the story of this election is the totally disconnect of the political system with voters. These parties especially the Republican Party has a choice, capitalize on that, exploit that with an aspirational message and promising positive change or place to our worse angels which is exactly what Trump is doing. That’s exactly what Carson is doing, playing to the lowest common denominator.”
