Obama at Hispanic Event: ‘Building Walls’ Won’t Make America Great

Thursday at a reception for Hispanic Heritage Month, President Barack Obama said we do not make America great by “building walls,” as advocated by Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

Obama said, “That’s what this is all about, everybody doing their part to make sure the next generation does even better. That’s how we have always made this country great, not by building walls but by tearing down barriers to opportunity, not by trying to divide us but trying to build a community, not by telling people to go back where they came from because this would be a really empty country if that what happened.”
